Eleven miles. All but one cancelled but Carol and I rode on without you. All was not in vain – we got to watch 3 baby barn owls looking down at us from the divided trunk of an older cedar tree. A local told us the parents have returned to this same tree the last few years. Carol got a great photo and I cropped it for a close up. Both photos are posted on our MBC Flikr site.
We made a quiet country loop east and north of Lynden. We did check out the Lynden border crossing to see if the fencing still allowed pedestrians and bikes to pass through onto East Boundary Road right along the border – yes we did.
We’ll post again with more rides in Whatcom and Skagit then return to favorite BC & Vancouver rides in the summer but no rides in June. Some photos on the MBC Flickr Album Page.
