100 Acre Wood to Teddy Bear Cove Hike

After all the rain lately it was delightful soaking in the spring sunshine with pizza and beer at the conclusion of our hike. Sixteen sunseekers met at Fairhaven Park ready to hike to and explore Teddy Bear Cove or should I rather say Teddy Bare Cove … not sure anymore!? No worries, we all behaved well, enjoyed the bayview, marveled at the honeycomb rocks and searched for sea stars. Only a long and loud coal train interrupted our joy at the cove before we turned around and made our way back through the 100-Acre Wood park. Signs of spring were all around us along the trail in the form of blooming Indian plums, red-flowering currant, salmonberry, swamp lanterns, Pacific trillium, and we even saw a lost easter bunny. Thanks to all who came. Photos on the MBC Flickr Page.

See you on the trails.
