Seven of us defied the weather gods today and won. We didn’t need any rain gear and the sun showed her presence several times. We do have to admit that it was a bit breezy and chilly on Rosario Head. The tree fall on the Lottie Pt trail was stubborn, but we even surmounted that obstacle. Several eagles (one very close juvenile) and nice close views of Harlequin and Long-tailed ducks were highlights. To us, the rugged coastline at Deception Pass remains a quintessential icon of the NW coast. A few photos can be seen at the MBC album page found here.
